2025 ANNUAL REPORT

Letter from the Founder/Executive Director

As we reflect on the progress made in 2025, I am proud to share the strides NAPPDRR has taken toward environmental justice, poverty reduction, and sustainable development in Nigeria. Our commitment to transparency, accountability, and climate action has guided impactful initiatives such as the Green The Future project in Esit Eket, Akwa Ibom State, and the Climate-Smart Agriculture Initiative, which has empowered farmers with adaptive skills to improve food security. Through our Community-led Dialogue on Leadership and Youth Empowerment, we’ve inspired young leaders to champion sustainability in their communities.Despite these achievements, we faced notable challenges, particularly a funding squeeze that tested our resilience. However, the unwavering support from partners like Oilwatch Africa and the Global Greengrants Fund enabled us to sustain critical programs and reach vulnerable populations.

Looking ahead, we are excited to launch Solar Tech4Health—an initiative designed to deliver solar-powered healthcare solutions to rural communities, reinforcing our belief that clean energy is vital for health and development.I invite all our partners, supporters, and friends to join us in building a greener, more equitable future for Nigeria. Your continued engagement is essential as we scale our impact, deepen community participation, and strengthen collaborations. Together, we can drive meaningful change and ensure that no community is left behind in the journey toward sustainability.

Sincerely,

Mr. Emem Edoho Executive Director – NAPPDRR
